Jessica Uzcategui Accepted to American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Partner Jessica A. Uzcategui has been accepted as a Fellow by the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a nonprofit association of lawyers and law professors with experience in all areas of trust and estate law. Its more than 2,700 members are called “Fellows” and are elected to membership based on their outstanding reputation, exceptional skill, and substantial contributions to the field by lecturing, writing, teaching and participating in bar activities. It is their aim to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures, and professional responsibility.Ms. Uzcategui was also a panelist at her first ACTEC meeting in Charleston, South Carolina in October 2016. She presented on a panel titled “Confronting Litigation and Non-Litigation Challenges of a Trusts and Estates Practice; The Lawyer as a Witness” and offered advice to lawyers serving a fact witnesses, party defendants, and expert witnesses.
