Meg Lodise Appointed as ACTEC Ombudsperson to Oversee Organization’s Code of Conduct

Partner Meg Lodise has been selected as one of three Ombudspersons who will provide the initial response and investigation of any complaint made under the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s (ACTEC) newly published Code of Conduct. ACTEC is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all persons (Fellows, guests, sponsors, ACTEC employees and other participants in ACTEC activities). The organization’s Code of Conduct offers guidance for conduct at all ACTEC activities, whether at meetings, events or during participation in telephone calls, or online and via social media in connection with an ACTEC event, activity or project. Perceived violations of this Code of Conduct will be communicated to one of the Ombudspersons, who will then promptly investigate the allegations. The Ombudsperson will then submit her or his report to the ACTEC Executive Committee for further action when the investigation is complete. The ACTEC Executive Committee will make all final decisions. Lodise is also an ACTEC Fellow and serves as Chair of the Amicus Review Committee.
