Meg Lodise Chairs Pomona College Presidential Search Committee

Partner Meg Lodise served as Chair of the Pomona College Presidential Search Committee from April through December 2016 to select the college’s tenth president, G. Gabrielle Starr, a highly regarded scholar of English literature whose work reaches across neuroscience and the arts. A Pomona College alumna, Ms. Lodise led the 15-person search committee with trustee faculty, staff, student, alumni and parent representation.

Upon Ms. Starr’s appointment by the Board of Trustees, Ms. Lodise commented: “I and the Presidential Search Committee have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Gabi these past few months. Her keen intellect and warm personality make her a wonderful fit for Pomona and I look forward to Gabi bringing her creativity, energy and enthusiasm to Pomona.”

Ms. Starr will be the first woman and the first African American president of Pomona College, one of the nation’s premier liberal arts institutions.
