Terry Franklin Hosts ACTEC Video Series On the Role of Trusts and Estates in Addressing Issues of Diversity & Inequality in America

Partner Terry Franklin is hosting the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s (ACTEC) newly developed video series Planning for a Diverse and Equitable Future. The series was created as a project of ACTEC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Committee, funded by The ACTEC Foundation, and will continue throughout 2021 featuring new guests and topics each month.

Focusing on economic inequality in America, the purpose of the premiere video is to explore and recognize obstacles to equitable inclusion and seek actionable solutions to mitigating the nation’s existing racial wealth gap.

Franklin is a longtime ACTEC Fellow and currently services as Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Committee. In a press release published by ACTEC discussing the series launch, he commented, “It is critical for all of us, as estate planners, to acknowledge the significance of equitable inclusion and empower ourselves and others to develop solutions and take actions for the betterment of our practices and society at large. The opportunity exists to ameliorate economic inequality by sharing the relevance of developing estate plans and promoting asset transfer between generations in diverse communities.”
