Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise Welcomes Two New Associates

The trust and estate litigation firm, Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise, announced that John Scheerer and Arevik Stepanyan have joined as associates.

“John and Arevik demonstrate a high level of talent and leadership that will be a true asset to our clients and the future of our firm,” said managing partner Matthew McMurtrey. “We look forward to watching both grow their practices and expect great success in their careers.”

John Scheerer obtained his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, which he attended on a full merit scholarship and was elected to the Order of the Coif, as well as received the Dean’s Award for the highest grade in Wills and Trusts. Mr. Scheerer also served on the UCLA Law Review as Associate Editor. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, summa cum laude.

Prior to joining Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise, Mr. Scheerer was a Litigation Associate at Hueston Hennigan LLP, and previously at Irell and Manella LLP, practicing in complex commercial litigation and serving as counsel in high profile civil suits.

Arevik Stepanyan obtained her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and recognized with the Jurisprudence Award in Employment Discrimination and Negotiations. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, summa cum laude.

Prior to joining Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise, Ms. Stepanyan was a Litigation Associate with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Ms. Stepanyan also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jeffrey T. Miller of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
