Matt McMurtrey Elected to American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Managing Partner Matt McMurtrey has been peer-elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) as a Fellow. ACTEC is a national organization of more than 2,400 lawyer and law professor members who are called “Fellows” and are the best and brightest in the trust and estate practice, with years of experience representing and advising in the field. To become a Fellow, one must be nominated by an active Fellow in good standing and elected by the Board of Regents.

ACTEC’s mission includes the improvement and reform of probate, trust and tax laws and procedures and professional practice standards. The organization frequently offers technical comments with regard to legislation and regulations but does not take positions on matters of policy or political objectives.
