Terry Franklin Shares “The Last Will of Lucy Sutton” at Northwestern University Entertainment Alliance West Storytelling Event

Partner Terry Franklin led Northwestern University Entertainment Alliance (NUEA) West attendees on a captivating journey, tracing the path that uncovered his fourth great-grandfather’s will and his search to find answers about his family’s heritage, including an unexpected will contest that threatened to keep his family enslaved. Mr. Franklin has spoken extensively across the U.S. about his ancestry and the related legal issues to law, tax and estate planning organizations, as well as at the Annual Harriet Tubman Conference and the Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The NUEA West Storytelling Event took place on October 24 at the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles. Mr. Franklin is an ’84 alumnus of Northwestern University. View the presentation.
