Terry Franklin Speaks to Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council

Partner Terry Franklin is presenting “The 1846 Last Will of John Sutton – What’s Not So New in Will Drafting and Contests” to the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council on October 16, 2019. Franklin has been invited to speak extensively around the country on this topic, which traces the path that uncovered his fourth great-grandfather’s will and his search to find answers about his family’s heritage, including an unexpected will contest that threatened to keep his family enslaved. In addition to Franklin’s ancestry, the presentation examines the related legal issues to law, tax and estate planning organizations.

The Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council is a chapter of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. Members come from various disciplines, including attorneys, accountants, trust administrators or officers of a corporate fiduciary firm, insurance, financial planning and planned giving professionals.
