Partner Jessica Uzcategui presented on the panel, “Letters, Notes and Napkins: Harmless Error and Writings Intended as Wills,” at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 27 th Annual Estate Planning and Real Property Spring Symposia on April 30, 2015 in Washington D.C. Ms. Uzcategui explored the traditional approach of courts requiring strict compliance with will formalities and discussed the emerging application of the harmless error doctrine to admit non-traditional documents to probate.
